Seaweed is naturally rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and amino acids. When added to warm water, it releases hydrating hydrocolloids that help soften the skin, soothe muscles and support natural detoxification. The result is deeply hydrated skin and a relaxed, revitalised body.
At Aquam we use Katoni, a tropical seaweed cultivated in Indonesian coastal waters. It is known for its high mineral content and natural gel-forming properties, which help hydrate the skin and support muscle recovery during our signature seaweed baths.
Yes. Seaweed is one of the most sustainable marine crops in the world. It grows rapidly, requires no freshwater, and has a very low carbon footprint. At Aquam, the seaweed is rinsed, steamed and used for bathing rituals, and afterwards returned to the earth where it naturally enriches soil.
Aquam is committed to water-responsible wellness. Our bathing systems can utilise purified and desalinated ocean water, helping reduce pressure on freshwater resources — an important step in protecting fragile island ecosystems.
Aquam combines ocean-inspired wellness, marine botanicals and sustainable bathing rituals to create a spa experience deeply connected to island life. Signature seaweed baths, ocean-inspired treatments and natural ingredients come together to deliver a sensory journey rooted in the healing power of water.
We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment. This allows time to relax, complete a brief consultation form and begin unwinding before your treatment begins.
Late arrivals may shorten the length of your treatment in consideration of other guests. We will always do our best to accommodate you while maintaining a peaceful experience for everyone.
Your comfort is our priority. Disposable underwear will be provided for body treatments, and our therapists are professionally trained to ensure your privacy and modesty are maintained throughout the session.
